Repel The Devil From The Nose

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ ثَلاَثًا  فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَبِيتُ عَلَى خَيْشُومِهِ 

From Abu Hurairah RA, the Prophet SAW said, "If one of you wakes up from his sleep, then he should perform ablution and istintsar (remove water from the nose) three times because the devil spends the night in his nasal cavity."

(HR. Bukhari No: 3295)

Status: Sahih Hadith 

Learnings:

1. Islam teaches us to be civil and moral in every aspects. 

2. One of the manners of a Muslim after waking up from sleep is performing ablution. 

3. Istinsar (removing water from inside the nasal cavity after inhaling it) when performing ablution is a sunnah. 

4. Among the wisdom of putting water into the nasal cavity and taking it out three times, in addition to cleaning the dirt from around the nose, it is also intended to drive away the devil who spends the night in the nasal cavity area. 

Make sure the practice of inserting and removing water into the nasal cavity is done as soon as you wake up from sleep through the practice of ablution.
