Dzikr To Avoid Unwanted Things

عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ فِي دُبُرِ صَلاَةِ الفَجْرِ وَهُوَ ثَانٍ رِجْلَيْهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ  وَمُحِيَ عَنْهُ عَشْرُ سَيِّئَاتٍ وَرُفِعَ لَهُ عَشْرُ دَرَجَاتٍ وَكَانَ يَوْمَهُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ فِي حِرْزٍ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكْرُوهٍ وَحُرِسَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلَمْ يَنْبَغِ لِذَنْبٍ أَنْ يُدْرِكَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ إِلاَّ الشِّرْكَ بِاللَّهِ. 

From Abu Dzar RA narrated that the Messenger of Allah SAW said: "Whoever recites after the Fajr prayer while crossing his legs (in tashahhud position), before speaking he recites: "There is no god worthy of worship except Allah, He has no partners, all kingdoms belong to Him and all praise belongs to Him, He who gives life and death, and He is Able to do everything", as many as 10 times, then 10 good deeds are recorded for him and 10 sins are erased from him and he is elevated 10 degrees, and on that day he is in the protection of everything that is not wanted, as well as protection from Satan, likewise there is no sin on him on that day except if he shirk to Allah."

Status: Hassan Sahih 

Learnings: 

1. Every Muslim is encouraged to dzikr/remember and du'a after prayers. 

2. Among the dzikr that is recommended to be recited after the Fajr prayer while crossing one's legs (in the tashahud position), before saying anything else is;

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 

Whoever reads it 10 times, then:

a.  Recorded for him 10 virtues

b.  Removed from him 10 faults

c.  Raised for him 10 degrees

d.  On that day he was in the protection of everything that was not wanted

e.  Protection from Satan that day

f.  It is not worthy of any sin on him on that day (to be forgiven) except the sin of shirk to Allah 

3. The person who recites this dzikr after the morning prayer 10 times while still sitting like the final tahiyat and has not spoken anything else, will be protected from something unwanted including various diseases and also protected from other dangers. 

Let's start this new year 2023 Masihi to practice this wirid after the fardhu prayer at Fajr as well as at Maghrib. May we always receive goodness and be protected from any evil and sin.
