From Abu Hurairah from the Prophet SAW he said: "Wealth is not because of the abundance of wealth, but wealth is the richness of the heart (always feeling enough)."
(HR Bukhari No: 6446)
Status: Sahih Hadith
Learnings:
1. Wealth in Islam is not seen in the possession of a lot of property.
2. The real wealth of a Muslim is when he has a rich heart (the nature of being satisfied with every sustenance he has, being satisfied and not greedy).
3. How many rich people possesses wealth but always feel they are still lacking. His heart is not satisfied with the sustenance that Allah SWT had given him. He still continues to search for what he has not yet achieved. His heart is still not satisfied with what he has. That means that he is always poor because he wants to continually search and search again.
4. An Nawawi said: "The praiseworthy rich is a rich heart, a heart that is always satisfied and not greedy in seeking worldly luxuries. The admirable rich is not having a lot of wealth and continuously wanting to add more.
Let us be the owner of a heart that is always rich with the nature of feeling satisfied with the possessions that we have but always feeling poor with our righteous deeds.
