Be The Door Opener of Goodness

عن أنس بن مالك قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَفَاتِيحَ لِلْخَيْرِ مَغَالِيقَ لِلشَّرِّ وَإِنَّ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَفَاتِيحَ لِلشَّرِّ مَغَالِيقَ لِلْخَيْرِ فَطُوبَى لِمَنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ مَفَاتِيحَ الْخَيْرِ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ وَوَيْلٌ لِمَنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ مَفَاتِيحَ الشَّرِّ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ 

From Anas bin Malik RA, the Prophet SAW said, "Indeed, there are people among people who open the door to goodness and close the door to evil. And indeed among humans there are those who open the door of evil and close the door of goodness.  Fortunate is the person whom Allah makes him the door opener of goodness through his hand. And woe to the person who opens the door of evil through his hands."

(HR. Ibnu Majah no. 237)

Status: Hadith Hasan 

Learnings: 

1. Allah SWT created different people. There are people who open the door to goodness and close the door to evil. 

2. But there are people who open the door to evil and close the door to goodness. 

3. Blessed be the person whom Allah SWT has made open the door of goodness through his hands. 

4. People who want to open the door to goodness and close the door to evil, should do the following:

a.  Be sincere in all actions and words just to worship Allah SWT and make it a source of our goodness and glory.

b.  Du'a to Allah SWT to be given taufiq to be someone who opens the door of goodness, because du'a is the key to all goodness.

c.  Be diligent in seeking knowledge because knowledge drives a person to goodness and glory.

d.  Always worship Allah SWT, especially prayers, because prayers can prevent from evil and evil deeds.

e.  Act with noble and gentle morals, and stay away from bad and uncivilized morals.

f.  Be friends with pious people and often be with them. Advising others, whether known or not, so that goodness is with us and away from vice.

g.  Always remember the day of retribution so that we always do good deeds as a preparation.

h.  Always try to benefit others. 

Try to make yourself open the door of goodness and always close the door of evil.
