‘Uthman bin ‘Affan narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Whoever performs wudhu’ (ablution) and does it well, his sins will exit his body even from under his nails.”
Narrated in Sahih Muslim
Grade: sahih (authentic)
Reflections:
1. Completing wudhu’ (ablution) is a pre-requisite for the validity of solah (prayer).
2. Performing wudhu’ well comprises following through with all its routines according to the Sunnah of Rasulullah (ﷺ), including those which are supererogatory.
3. Whoever performs wudhu’ well will have his/her lesser sins forgiven.
