Abi Umamah ibn Sahl narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said, ‘Whoever finds by him a Muslim oppressed and he safeguards him not (while he is able), Allah ‘azza wa jalla will disparage him in front of all creation on the Day of Resurrection.’ Related by Ahmad.
Lessons:
1. A Muslim is brother to a fellow Muslim.
2. It is obligatory upon a Muslim to provide aid to another who has been treated unjustly whether in matters of life and death, property, or preservation of honour.
3. Whoever is able but fails to help his fellow Muslim, Allah will lower him in stature on the Day of Judgment.
May we dignify ourselves by helping our fellow oppressed, whether in our own nation or in war-torn areas
