From Jabir RA who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah said: “There is none who utters a supplication, except that Allah gives him what he asked, or prevents evil from him that is equal to it – as long as he does not supplicate for something evil, or the cutting of ties of the womb.” (HR Tirmizi No: 3303)

Lessons:
1. Allah SWT grants one's supplication either in the form of what is asked or in the form of preventing evil from him on two conditions:
a. One does not supplicate for something evil
b. One does not ask to cut ties with his kindred
Let us stay away from supplicating for evil among fellow Muslims. Instead, let’s increase supplicating for goodness and strengthening of ties among kin.
