Asking for Forgiveness and Performing Dhikr After Each Prayer

Thawban narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) finished his prayer, he would ask for forgiveness three times, then he would say:

“O Allah, You are As-Salam and from You is all peace, Blessed are You O Possessor of majesty and honour.”

It is encouraged to not quickly get up from the prayer place after salam, before asking for forgiveness and performing dhikr.
