Performing Ablution Before Going To Sleep

It was narrated from Mu’adh bin Jabal that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“There is no person who goes to bed in a state of purity, then wakes up at night, and asks Allah for something in this world or the Hereafter, but it will be given to him.”

Lessons:

1. Among the etiquette of retiring to bed for a Muslim to observe is performing ablution (wudhu').

2. A Muslim who sleeps in a state of purity and then wakes up to ask Allah for something in this life or in the Hereafter will have his/her supplication (du'a) granted.

Perform wudhu' before going to sleep and wake up at night to get closer to Allah. Let's seize the opportunity to make du'a for this life and for the Hereafter during the best time to call to our Creator.
