كُلُّ دُعَاءٍ مَحْجُوبٌ حَتَّى يُصَلِّى عَلَى النَّبِّيِّ
“Every du’a remains unanswered until one sends blessings upon the Prophet (ﷺ)”
As-Saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 4523
Grade: Sahih (authentic)
Translation adapted from Islam: Questions And Answers - The Heart Softeners (Part 2), p. 41
Lessons:
1. Sending salawat (salutations upon the Prophet) is among the signs that we truly love the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).
2. Sending salawat is also part of the etiquette of making du’a.
3. The basis for du’a being answered is sending salawat.
Let us increase salawat in du’a! An adage of the wise goes, “one always utters what one loves”.
