Fatigue, Grief, Disease And Worry Expiate Sins

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that:

The Messenger of Allah said: "Nothing afflicts the believer, whether fatigue, grief, disease - even a worry that concerns him - except that by it, Allah removes something from his bad deeds."

 Lessons:

1.  There is wisdom behind everything that happens to a believer, be it good or bad.

2.  Fatigue, grief, disease or worry that befalls a believer expiates his sins and elevates his status.

3.  Even the smallest of hardships, such as a piercing one's skin on a thorn or injuring one's foot on a rock, will remove a believer’s sins as long as the they are accepting of it and persevere.

Let us all persevere in the face of hardship and pain. May it purify us of our sins.
