The Traveller Who Grabs The Opportunity

From Ibn Umar RA said: The Messenger of Allah SAW held both of my shoulders and said: "Live in the world as if you were a stranger or a traveler", Ibn Umar said: "If you are in the morning, do not wait until the evening." If you are in the evening, don't wait until morning. Take advantage of your healthy time before you get sick. Make the most of your life before you die."

Learnings:
1. Let us be hasten to do good and increase our obedience, do not neglect and delay in doing good deeds because we do not know when death will come.

2. Use all opportunities to do good deeds before they disappear and we miss that opportunity. May this year's Ramadan be best used to multiply the acts of worship because we are not sure whether we will meet again next year.

3. Be like a traveler who always prepare supplies to ensure that supplies throughout the journey are always sufficient. So prepare a sufficient supply of righteous deeds to meet Allah on the Day of Judgment.

4. Being always mindful of the punishment of Allah's, is the attitude of a traveler who is always alert so as not to stray from the right path.

5. Beware of bad friends. Don't be influenced and believe all the news that is conveyed eg. through a massage that is transmitted till it becomes an obstacle for us to become righteous.

6. Our work in the world required us to take care of the soul and bring benefits, every Muslim should use opportunities and do good deeds in the world for the purpose of the hereafter.

7. Earnestly guard the time and prepare for death and quickly repent and do righteous deeds.

8. Rasulullah SAW held both shoulders of Abdullah bin Umar, aiming for him to focus on what was to be shared. Shows that a student should pay attention to what the teacher teaches so that it can be understood and practiced.
