False Accusations

From Abdullah bin Umar RA said, I once heard the Messenger of Allah SAW say, "Whoever says something about a believer that is not in him, then Allah will place him in the *"rodghah al-Khabal"* until he comes out of what he said."
(HR Abu Daud No: 3597)
Status: Sahih Hadith

Learnings:
1. Islam teaches its people to always be moral and civilized in social relations with others.

2. If a person accuses another Muslim of something that is not true to him just by conjecture either by speech or writing, then the accusation will bring him bad on the Day of Judgment.

3. The Prophet SAW gave a stern threat to someone who accuses another believer with an accusation and slander, Allah will place him in *"rodghah al-Khabal"*, which is a place filled with fluids from the inhabitants of hell in the form of sweat, blood, pus, dirt and so on until he  come out of what he said or he gets forgiveness from the person who was blamed and slandered.

So avoid bad-mouthing (speak unfavourably about) others with gossips and slanders, especially on social media. For us as readers, avoid sharing and forwarding something that is in the form of the author's accusations and conjectures. If it is wrong it becomes defamation. If it's true, it becomes a gossip.
