The Reward That Equates Hajj And Umrah

Anas bin Malik narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said, "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun has risen, then he prays two Rak'ah, then for him is the reward like that of a Hajj and Umrah." He said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Complete, complete, complete.'"

Lessons:
1. Allah gives us the opportunity to accumulate reward by praying in congregation at the masjid.

2. Whoever performs Fajr (subuh) congregational prayer, then sits reciting the remembrance of Allah (zikir) till sunrise, then conducts 2 rakaat of voluntary prayers (Dhuha or Ishraq prayers), he will be rewarded as if he went to Hajj or Umrah.

3. Rasulullah SAW repeated the word “complete” 3 times, indicating the reward for performing hajj or umrah until completion.

Let us strive for the reward of performing Hajj and Umrah by consistently performing Fajr congregational prayers in the masjid, then staying for iktikaf and listening to lectures, joining halaqah, reading the Quran, or reciting zikir until the time comes to pray Ishraq or Dhuha before heading back home. Take the chance to perform it once a week, during weekends or holidays.
