The Residents of Paradise

"The inmates of Paradise are three: he who wields authority who is just, fair, and truthful and has been guided with taufiq (by Allah), he who is merciful and kind-hearted towards his relatives and to every pious Muslim, and he who does not stretch his hand (i.e. beg from others) despite being impoverished.”

Narrated in Sahih Muslim, hadith no. 2685
Grade: sahih (authentic)
Translation adapted from sunnah.com

Reflections:
1. Among those who will reside in heaven are:

a. A just ruler or leader who is always generous and mindful of Allah in carrying out his responsibilities

b. A person who treats his relatives and other Muslims with gentleness and kindness, and

c. A person pure of heart who keeps himself from seeking charity despite being poor.

Let’s strive to embrace the characteristics of the inhabitants of paradise.
