From Aishah, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with her, who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "There is no man who habitually prays at night, then sleep overwhelms him, but Allah (SWT) will record for him the reward of his prayer, and his sleep is a charity given to him."
Narrated in Sunan an-Nasa'i, Vol. 2, Book 20, Hadith no. 1785
Grade: Sahih (authentic)

Lessons:
1. Performing nighttime prayers (qiamullail) is a highly encouraged practice.
2. A person who is accustomed to qiamullail but then misses it due to accumulating tiredness will still receive the reward of having prayed at night, and the sleep becomes Allah’s gift to him.
Let us habitualise ourselves with waking up in the middle of the night and performing qiamullail in following the Prophet’s sunnah, even if just for one raka’at.
