عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " يَتَنَزَّلُ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرُ فَيَقُولُ مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ، مَنْ يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ، مَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ ".
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Every night when it is the last third of the night, our Lord, the Superior, the Blessed, descends to the nearest heaven and says: Is there anyone to invoke Me that I may respond to his invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone asking My forgiveness so that I may forgive him?. "

Learnings:
1. The month of Sha'aban has its own advantages as it is the month in which the Prophet SAW performed the most voluntary fasting.
2. We are encouraged to make du'a, seek and ask for forgiveness from Allah SWT.
3. Scholars agree that there is no specific type of worship on the night of Nisfu Syaaban such as no Nisfu Syaaban 100 rakaat prayer, no special prayers or special recitations. But we can perform the night prayers and also diversify the du'a and dhikr.
Let us seize the opportunity to increase worship with voluntary prayers, dhikr, reciting the Quran, invoke blessings upon Rasulullah SAW, du'a and asking for forgiveness every now and then.
