Dzulhijjah: No Fasting On Tashriq Days (11-13 Dzulhijjah)

Nubaisha al-Hudhali reported Allah's messenger as saying, *“The days of ¹at-tashriq are days of eating, drinking, and remembrance of Allah.”*
Muslim transmitted it.

¹ at-tashriq means the days of Tashriq which are the 3 days following 'Idul Ad-ha: 11th, 12th & 13th of Dzulhijjah. The name is said to have been given because the flesh of the sacrifical animal is cut into strips and put in the sun to dry; but other explanations are also given.
