عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي جَارَيْنِ بِأَيِّهِمَا أَبْدَأُ قَالَ بِأَدْنَاهُمَا بَابًا
‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said, ‘I asked, “O Apostle of Allah! I have two neighbours. To which of them should I do good first?” He replied, “Begin with the one whose door is nearer to you.”’
